THE DIGITAL LOGBOOK

The Problem: The "Ghost Yield."

A harvester cuts 50 palm bunches. The Field Supervisor writes down "45" in a notebook and takes a bribe, or writes down "55" to help his friend. Then the notebook just gets wet and can’t be read anyway. The Owner in KL has absolutely no idea what was harvested until the truck arrives 2 days later. By then, 10% of the crop has "disappeared."

The Fix: An Offline-First Digital Tally Sheet.

  1. The Input: The Field Supervisor selects the Harvester’s Name and enters the Yield (kg or bunch count).

  2. The Proof: They must take a photo of the pile on the weighing scale.

  3. The Lock: The App records the GPS coordinate and Timestamp.

  4. The Sync: Because plantations have bad signal, the data saves locally. As soon as the phone detects WiFi/4G (back at the site office), it auto-syncs to the Boss’s dashboard.
